John F. Kennedy Middle School is comprised of grades 6 thru 8, and houses approx. 750 students.  It is the only middle school in the Lake Shore Public Schools district, which lies in the northern part of St. Clair Shores, MI (a suburb of Detroit, MI).  There are approx. 3,200 students in the entire school district.

The bands at Kennedy Middle School consist of:

• Wind Ensemble        8th grade
• Concert Band           7th grade
• Cadet Band              6th grade
• Jazz Ensemble        7th/8th grade

These award-winning ensembles perform concerts in the St. Clair Shores area, and have also performed at numerous locations throughout the Midwestern United States and Canada.  They regularly participate in events sponsored by the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association (MSBOA) and others.
